Welcome

Space, peace and light summer evenings

At home in Zuidlaren, the atlas often lies on the kitchen table. Our boys (7 and 9) point at the fjords, Finland’s lakes and Iceland’s volcanoes. “Can we go there with the tent?” That very question is how this site started.

What draws us to Scandinavia is the space, the light summer evenings and campsites by the water where kids go exploring on their own. Here I collect what I find out while preparing, so you don’t have to look it all up again.
